Thanks To VetNOW, A Sick Dog In Mt. Pleasant, PA Gets Treatment From Specialist In Hong Kong

On Tuesday, February 11th, Geary Veterinary Service became a VetNOW partner. On Friday the 14th, Doctor Geary’s did his first specialist consult using VetNOW.  

The consult was with an internal medication specialist in Hong Kong.  After reviewing Bubba’s case on the VetNOW platform, the specialist confirmed that the course of treatment Dr. Geary prescribed (antibiotics) was correct and they discussed the next steps on the video link. 

The specialist reassured the owners that Bubba, a Shih Tzu, was receiving the best care and that there was nothing that could have been done to prevent his condition.

Bubba has already improved, and his owners are thrilled that they didn’t have to drive an hour into Pittsburgh to see a specialist. They were amazed that they received specialty care from a veterinarian on the other side of the world.

Both Dr. Geary and Bubba’s owners were happy to know they had provided the best care for Bubba thanks to VetNOW. 

Dr. Geary’s comment after the appointment was that “this was awesome!”
